We did some day of letterpress work for a wedding upstate. I love the use of the tree with the two little love birdies perched in it. We used “special spots” for table places and lovely menus as place cards.
I just got some images from San Diego’s AMAZING Jill Thomas of the Tuscany Wedding. How gorgeous is this couple! And the images! It was such a special day and we’re so excited to have been a part of this celebration. I am so glad to see all our work came out so well. The paper details, the origami cranes, the flowers, the food, the design…it all went off flawlessly thanks very much to Casa Cornacchi!
I just finished hand typesetting a poem written by Peter Vanderberg that was written especially for James and me when we got married. It took me about 7 hour total to composite the whole thing and there were still so many typos! I printed the piece in a dark purple on a Vandercook Press. I also used three kinds of paper to print on, two I handmade at Carriage House Papers (from abaca and cotton rag) and also a Mohawk 300 gsm. I can’t wait to give these away as gifts.
I just finished a party for Trina and Ji in Long Beach Island, New Jersery…I’ve worked on a number of projects for this including screenprinting the tablecloth, the lace runner and the birthday banner! Finally, I’m so excited to share some pictures.
Oooh and the napkins! My favorite part! I handmade the little guys and then ironed on monograms for each guest that doubled as place settings!
